3. Strategy Teams: Partnering With AI, Not Competing
Account planners and strategists used to rely heavily on junior analysts for PowerPoint decks, surveys, and data pulls. Today, they’re training AI to summarize research papers, extract insights, and even design outlines for briefs.
Tools to try:
- Perplexity.ai – Ideal for high-quality, cited research summaries.
- Miro + GPT Plugins – Combine visual boards with AI summarization.
- Tome – Builds smart, dynamic presentation decks based on input prompts.
Example:
R/GA integrates Tome into its pitch process, using it to create client decks based on data pulled from CRM tools, trends, and even past campaign performance. Junior strategists still review and adjust—but AI sets the table.
4. Visual Design: From Figma to Firefly
Design interns often start by editing banners, resizing logos, and building wireframes. But now, Adobe’s AI tool Firefly, Canva Magic Design, and Runway ML are taking on that load—freeing designers to ideate instead of iterate.
Example:
A boutique San Francisco agency now uses Canva’s AI tools to create first-draft social templates and then assigns juniors to polish and adapt them for different platforms.
Tools to try:
- Adobe Firefly – Generative fill, background replacement, and concept visuals.
- Runway ML – Great for short-form video and AI image editing.
- Canva Magic Design – For fast templating and brand kit integrations.
